”I say you like her.“ So this is how this whole mess begins, I thought. We waited until after church. Noah called Tricia into the Blue Room. After telling my parents that I was getting a ride home with Noah, I went back and carefully put Tricia into the back of his car, covered her with clothes and jackets, and left for my house. I found that the family had gone to Ponderosa from a note on the door. I quickly moved Tricia into my room, from the car. We untied her, and Noah left.
”I wouldn’t go to Nanopolis and work at a museum.“ She said, pleading for her release. I told her I would not harm her, and that I needed to do this. I hid her behind my bed, gave her a pillow, some food, and a blanket. Now we’ll see if my plan would work. A few hours later, after my family had returned, the phone rang. My father answered it and asked if I had seen Tricia, and that she was missing. I responded that I saw her in church, and he relayed the message. He came out to tell me that she had disappeared and that the police had been sent out to find her.
YES!!! I thought. My plan was working. Soon the Police would find my Tricia, and I could get back to my own time. I went through another week of school. Sunday came around, and Tricia was in Church. I saw her, and she me. After the service she came upstairs and said, ”Adam, where are we?“
”In our pasts. Come with me, I have to switch you with you predecessory form at my house.“ So, after getting permission from her parents, we switched Tricias. The moment I returned the Tricia from that time we were transported to the living room of the house.
”Where are we?“ Tricia asked. ”Another game?“
”No, this is real.“ Noelle said, coming out from the kitchen. ”I convinced Matt to stop this foolish game.“
”Yes, we have informed your friends that their best man and bride’s maid will be attending the wedding tomorrow, but would you stay and have some dinner.“ Matt said.
That’s odd. Why do they want to be nice to us now? I thought. ”Thank you.“ I said.
”Here are some clothes. There are two rooms upstairs where you can change.“ Noelle handed us some respectable, high class, clothing and showed us to two rooms upstairs. I went into a room in the far corner, and Tricia right next to it. I changed into the clothes I was given, a black three-piece suit with light blue tie. After I had finished I left the room, and waited to escort Tricia out of her room and downstairs. She left her room wearing a great light blue gown. We linked arms and went downstairs.
Once we entered the dining room, our host greeted us and invited us to sit down. I pulled out the chair for Tricia and then sat down myself, across from her. ”Why are you doing this?“ I asked.
”Because there is no longer any way for you to link us with the robbery.“ Matt responded.
”What?“
”The Palette has been returned to the museum today.“
”You returned it?“
”Yes. I told Matt that you were too close to finding us out, and that he had better return it otherwise we would have to spend a very lengthy time in prison.“ Noelle answered.
”Pardon me if I don’t believe you, Noelle, but this doesn’t sound right.“
