Noah Prescott Noah Prescott here today to tell you about a fabulous invention that I wish I could take credit for.  Picture it with me…  Two words:  Flameless Candles.

Imagine, all the warmth and beauty of the flame, just– well– without the flame.  I’m here to tell you that this spectacular company not only sells flameless window candles, and any other kind of flameless candle that you can think of.

I know what you’re thinking.  Something this cool can’t be true.  It’s got to be line.  But believe me, it is.  You need to go over to the site and see for yourself.

Personally, I was amazed at how nicely these lights could look– and if you think about how many fires are started every year from people not taking precautions when it comes to their lighting– why these things would pay for themselves!

Another cool thing I found was a Solar Light Strand with 60 LED bulbs.  LED lights use a tiny fraction of the power that normal Christmas lights use.  If you could power your light display with solar power, imagine how much that would save on your electric bill!

These folks are definitely worth a look– so go on by and check them out.  Tell them Noah Prescott sent you!

“I never knew you could play like that.”

“Yeah, I’ve been taking lessons since I was a kid.”  Everyone had left, so Tricia and I left too.

“Is there any more work to be done at Noah’s house?”

“Yes, some furniture needs to be moved and clothes to be put in the dressers.”

“Can I be of assistance?”

“I could use all the help I can get.”  We left and went to Noah’s house. We cleaned a little, and I moved furniture. We went back to her apartment together and went inside.

“Whew!  I’ll be glad when this day is through.”  Tricia said.

“Me too. I’ll also be glad when Noah and Laura get back.”

“I wonder what they’re doing now.”

“Probably they’re on a beach somewhere.”

“Or out playing basketball.”

“You know, this case has me completely baffled.”  I said, changing the subject.

“How so?”

“Well, the thief left no traces, nothing!  It’s the perfect crime.”

“Are you sure?”

“Positive. There’s not a clue to be found.”

“Are Matt and Noelle still around.”

“No, I was by their house and the caretaker said that they had left, and were selling the house.”  I said, leaving out the part about them going to visit Noah and Laura.

“That’s funny. Did Noah happen to leave a place where he could be reached with you?  I have to ask Laura about where a few things go.”

“No, you?”

“No, how about his beeper?”

“Now who would go on a honeymoon and bring his beeper?!”

“Right. So what shall we do to keep ourselves from being bored?”

“I don’t know, what do you want to do?”

“Well, I would like to go to the beach.”

“Okay, we’ll go tomorrow.”

“Think again, you scheduled practice tomorrow.”

“Oh, that’s right!  How about Saturday?”

“Saturday would be fine. It’s almost time to eat, let me fix you something.”

“Fine.”  At that moment, someone burst in the door and started firing a machine gun, chest high. I dove for Tricia, knocking her behind a couch, where I shot the machine gunner. We got out from behind the couch to examine the gunner.

“Is he. . . alive?”

“No, I’m afraid not.”  I said, after checking for a pulse. “I don’t understand, I hit him in the arm!”

“But that’s crazy!”

“I know.”  I called the police, and they took the body away.

“I don’t know if I feel safe in here.”

I thought about what the caretaker had said about Matt and Noelle leaving to visit Noah and Laura. Unfortunately, Noah wished not to be disturbed on his honeymoon, and gave me neither an address or phone number, so there was no way I could contact him. The phone rang and I picked it up. ”Hello,“ I said.

”Hello, this is the Nanopolis High School. We have heard that you have had experience in drama and music, and we want to know if you would be interested in directing this year’s summer performance.“

”I don’t know, I haven’t acted in a long time, when would I have to do this.“

”It would be totally up to you. The only thing we do is tell you when the performance is, August 29.“

”I think I can do it, when do I start?“

”Whenever you want!“

”How about tomorrow at one.“

”That’s fine, auditions will start tomorrow. We will contact the actors and inform them. The play has been picked out, you do the auditions.“

”Just one question.“

”Yes?“

”What age people am I dealing with?“

”All ages.“

“Oh, okay. I’ll come down to the school and pick up a copy of the script.”  I said. We both said good bye and hung up. Directing?  This ought to be fun!  I looked at the clock, it was four thirty. I went down to the school, and went inside. Making my way to the office, I found the person I had talked to, and obtained a copy of the script. How quaint, it was The Music Man, a play I had done in High School. I went to my apartment where I reread the script. It was about five.

I took a nap until it was five of, then went to get changed. After that I went to Noah’s new house and knocked on the door. Tricia came to the door. We got in the car and went to McDuncans. We ate and then we went to my apartment. After talking a little while, Tricia departed, and I went to bed. The next morning we played volleyball, as usual, and the day went along fine. One o’clock rolled around and I invited Tricia to come and watch the auditions so I could get a second opinion. She agreed, and we left. When we got there we went to the guy I had talked with on the phone.

“I’m sorry, Adam, but our pianist had a terrible accident and won’t be around for a whole month.”

“Are you going to get another one?”  I inquired.

“Yes, but you see, all the good ones are on vacation.”

“I can play a little.”  Tricia said.

“Could you play for auditions?”  The man asked.

“I’d be happy to do my best,” she responded. He handed her the music, and I took my seat a few rows back. First were the acting auditions. These went through fairly well, and it was quite easy to determine who I wanted for each part. The vocal auditions narrowed down the possibilities, so I was able to pick the parts. After assigning parts, I gave them the time of the next rehearsal and let them leave.
