”No, more like ordinary things. For instance: I went into my apartment, knowing that I had to mark up the music for rehearsal today.“
”Yes.“
”Well, when I got home, the music was already marked!“
”That’s odd.“
”What more, I went to clean my uniform this morning, since I didn’t yesterday, and it was clean!“
”That is odd.“ I said as we pulled up to Noah’s house. ”Ah, here’s the letter from Noah’s father.“ I said, picking it up. ”That’s funny, there’s no letter from Rob.“
”There was supposed to be?“
”Yeah!“
”Look, is that it?“
”Yes, but I was positive that it wasn’t there.“
”You know, I don’t like the look of this.“
”Me either. Let’s go inside.“
”Why inside?“
”Because Noah said I was to try out this game for him, might as well do it here.“ We went inside. Once there I scoured the place to try and find his computer. When I located it, I looked for his disc box, which was in a totally different place. After I got the two together, I loaded up his computer. After decompressing the game, I started playing it. ”This game is sure dull.“
”I think I’ll get us something to drink.“ Tricia said, leaving the room. I got to the second level when this flashed on the screen:

Adam,
Surprise! Its me, Noah. Some detective you are, didnt even notice this was express mail from California. Well, thats probably because it doesnt look like it was. Rob works for the U.S.P.S. (United States Postal Office, if you havent figured it out), hes a big wig down here. Anyway I think your phone is bugged. At the apartment, I am almost positive that it is. And Im pretty sure the office is as well. Since Im not there, I dont know what else might be either. Ill be home ASAP, but dont leave the light on. Ive seen Matt and Noelle, and they had some business proposition for me, and are paying me to stay here. Remember my pager number, but call from a truly obvious place, like the house you just bought. I know, you only paid a down payment, but the house keeper will let you in.
Ill be back soon. Be careful.

”Hey Tricia, come look at this!“ I shouted into the other room. She came and read the letter. ”How did he know that I had put a down payment on the house.“
”What house?“
”Matt and Noelle’s old house. I went by a few days ago and put a down payment on it, but I didn’t tell anyone!“
”I think I’ve got it.“
”Got what, the flu?“
”No, remember, we were in the game.“
”Right.“
”And all of a sudden, we were out and Matt and Noelle were apologizing, just as we would have liked.“
”Yes. Oh, I see! We are still in the game!“
”Right, except this time, the goal is unknown.“
