”We’re probably not. I don’t look anything like you.“
”Then, why are you here with me in a bath towel?“
”How should I know!?“
”I think I’d better change, it’s kind of drafty in here.“ I went into the back room and changed. ”I found this trench coat in the other room.“ I put it on. ”I wonder what I do for a living.“
”Well, I must be some famous sports figure.“
”How do you figure that?“
”Because I’m dressed in a uniform of some kind.“ She said, searching her uniform. ”Look, it must be a volleyball uniform.“
”You’re probably on some volleyballer on an exchange program.“
”Then how come I’m rooming with a guy?“
”I don’t know, but I just realized something.“
”What?“
”That I’m hungry!“ I went into the kitchen. ”Boy, you really must be a very good volleyballer. Look at all the money in here!“ The doorbell rang. I walked over to the door. Opening it I said, ”We don’t want any,“ and I shut the door. There was a knock on the door. I opened it again and said, ”GO AWAY!“
”Adam, what are you doing?“
”Hey, he called me Adam, Tricia! You can come in.“ The man walked in.
”Adam, what’s wrong with you?“
”What do you mean, ‘what’s wrong with you?’ There’s nothing wrong with me. And who in the world are you!?“
”Adam, get a grip! This is not funny. Don’t be stupid. We have a lot of work to do, and I’m really tired. It was a long trip home. Tricia,“ he said, shaking me. He turned and addressed Tricia, ”How are you? Why are you still in your volleyball uni? Laura is at home and wants to talk with you.“
”How do you know my name? Who are you? Who’s Laura? Who am I?“ Tricia said, bursting into tears. I was beginning to get upset with this person.
”It’s all right, Tricia. Now listen buddy, if you don’t leave right now, I’ll be forced to use force.“
”Oooo Adam, you’re scaring me. I’ve been beating up on you since Kindergarten. What is up with you anyway?“
”I wouldn’t be so bold. I’ve killed three men in three days, so there. Wait a second. . .How did I know that?“
”Adam, we need to sit down and have a serious discussion. Let’s take Tricia over to talk with Laura, maybe it will help her to calm down.“
”I’m warning you buddy. Why should I talk with you? And how do I know that this Laura is Tricia’s friend? How do I know that it was not your voice on the phone just a little while ago?“
”Look here, I’ll show you.“ Noah said, pulling a picture out of his jacket. ”This is a photo of my wedding. Here I am and here’s my best man. Oh my, look at that, who is that? Huh, well I’ll be, it’s you! Now do you believe me?“
”I still don’t know who you are, and what a strange wedding! It doesn’t look real! Held in a Y.M.C.A.!! What’s that in your hand, a basketball!!! Get real. Maybe if it was a volleyball. . .“ Noah convinced me to talk with him, through some means. Here is what he told me happened. . .
