“Jenn, where will you be staying?”

“At the Hotel Honolulu.”

“Well, why don’t you stay with us?”

“In the Honeymoon Suite?!!”

“Sure. There’s bound to be enough room.”

“Is that all right with you?” Jenn asked my wife.

“Sure. You’re welcome with us.” My wife responded.

“You two are too kind.”

“Don’t mention it. It’s the least we can do for a friend.” I commented. We got a cab to take us to the hotel where I went to the front desk and received the key. Jenn stayed in the lobby as a bystander, then followed us to the elevator. We went to the suite and I carried my wife across the threshold. Inside, we unpacked and I went to see about the photo opportunities. As I was going back to my room, I saw someone leaving it. It looked like a man. Going into my room I asked my wife who it was.

“Who, dear?”

“The man I just saw leaving this room.”

“I don’t know.”

“You mean he was in here for about five minutes and you don’t know who it was?!”

“No, not exactly. He just said he was a friend of the family.”

“Oh. Where’s Jenn?”

“She went downstairs to order dinner.”

“What are we having?”

“A local delicacy, I think.”

“Great.” I said. We ate, went for a walk outside. While we were on that walk the phone rang.

“Yeah Noah.” I said into the phone.

“I coming down.” Noah stammered excitedly.

“Down where?”

“To Hawaii.”

“Why?”

“Because I just found where Tricia is.”

“Where.”

“No time to tell you now. I’ll see you in the morning.” He quickly hung up. We finished our walk and went to our room. In order to make it not look conspicuous, my wife and I slept in the same bed, while Jenn slept in the living room on a couch.

The next morning we got up, and went downstairs to eat breakfast. On our way down in the elevator we ran into Andy and Marie. “Hiya guys.” Andy said. “What brings you down here?”

“Our honeymoon.” I responded. “And you?”

“We’re just here on vacation.” Marie answered.

“You know, that’s not a bad idea. I’ll think about it. Right now, would you mind very much if I took a shower?”

“Not at all. There’s a towel in the top drawer.” I said, pointing to the dresser. She thanked me and went for it. “I’ll be out watching my wife exercise.” I said, leaving. I went to the ship’s gym and sat in a chair. My wife exercised, grabbed a towel, and went for our cabin. I was about to get up and follow, when the sailor stopped me to question me about the man in Jenn’s room. Boy was my wife in for a shock.

She went into the cabin and got a clean towel. Noticing one was missing, and hearing the shower on, she suspected that I was in the shower. Thinking nothing of it, she went into the bathroom, undressed and got in the shower, which was big enough for two people. She got one look at Jenn, screamed, and ran out of the shower. She grabbed the towel. Both the sailor and I heard the scream and ran for my cabin.

“It sounds like another intruder!” The sailor said.

“You’re right.” I said, running into my cabin. Once inside, my wife came running toward me and put her arms around me.

“There’s another woman in that shower. I knew you didn’t love me!”

“Honey, wait.” I said. “It’s all right, Brent. It’s just a mix up.”

“Okay. I’ll be outside in case anybody needs me.” He said, leaving. Jenn came out of the bathroom dressed in a towel. My wife released her grip.

“Darling, I would like you to meet Jenn. We met when we first came on board. Jenn was attacked in her cabin today, and I told her that she could stay here until her nerves calmed down. She asked if she could take a shower and I said yes. You don’t mind, do you honey?”

“I guess not.” She said. “Jenn, do you forgive me?”

“Yes, I could understand. I’m to be married in a couple of weeks.” Jenn and my wife hit it right off. They talked with each other and shared clothes.

“Jenn,” I said, “I think I’ll sleep in your room tonight, just in case someone else feels like attacking you.”

“Thanks. I owe you so much already.”

“Think nothing of it.” I replied. “I think I’ll go over there now and check it out. Would you like to come with me and get any necessities to move into my room?”

“Yes, thank you.” She replied, getting up. She followed me to her cabin where she picked up a lot of clothes and left. I put some of the clothes that I had brought into the closet. It was getting time for lunch, for which I dressed and left the room for my cabin. There I knocked on the door and my wife and Jenn came out. Giving them both of my arms, we proceeded to the Dining Hall.

“Wow! This must be my lucky day. I get to escort two different girls to the Dining Hall!”

“Watch it.” My wife muttered. We went in and ate. That night everything was fine. I went to sleep in Jenn’s room.

The next morning I was up at 7:00. We were to depart from the boat at noon. I went to my cabin and peered in the window. My wife was up, but Jenn was still in bed. Not wanting to disturb her, I went for one last walk on the deck. I came back around eight and went to eat breakfast. Jenn and my wife seemed to have developed a winning relationship. I was beginning to admire my wife more and more. It’s a shame that she’s just a hologram.

After breakfast they went to the exercise program and I went along to watch. After that we all went to our final lunch. The boat came to dock and we packed our bags. We came into port and were greeted by the usual things.

“That would be interesting, but I guess that will do.” I said. Leaving the cabin, I escorted my wife to the Dining Hall, and the Captain’s table. We sat down and had a delightful dinner. Afterwards we went out on the deck.

“You know, I love the night. The stars come out, and God’s splendor is seen throughout the heavens.” My wife said, dreamily, gazing at the stars.

“Nicely put. Don’t move!” I whispered.

“Hmm?”

“Right there the moon reflects off you hair. It’s the second prettiest sight I’ve ever seen.”

“Yeah, and what’s the first?”

“Let me show you.” I said, moving my face towards hers, wrapping my arms around her, and she, me. We met and kissed. Afterwards we returned to our cabin. Once inside, we went to sleep.

The next morning we woke up. This would be our last full day on board. Getting up, I awoke my wife who went in for a shower. My wife came out dressed for her exercise program. “Are you coming to work out?’ She asked.

“Nah. I think I’ll give Noah a call, then I’ll take a walk somewhere. Don’t worry, I won’t be bored.” I said, giving her a kiss.

I called Noah. “Hello?” Noah asked.

“Any news on Tricia?” I asked.

“Yes,” he said, “She’s in Honolulu, Hawaii. She’s on some mountain.”

“Is she in any danger?”

“Matt and Noelle are blocking me from that info.”

“Well, okay.” Getting up, I left the cabin. I went down a couple doors when I heard a scream. I quickly opened the door of a cabin. Inside was Jenn, the girl I had met on deck, being attacked by another man. Quickly I dashed in and pried the guy off of Jenn, whose clothes were torn. “Are you okay?” I asked her.

“I’ve been better. Boy, it’s a lucky thing you came in when you did. Otherwise I don’t know what would have happened.”

“Do you know this man?”

“No. The only time I saw him was at dinner last night. He was making eyes at me.” I stuck my head out of the door and called for a sailor to come and help me. He did, and the man left.

“Are you here by yourself?”

“Yes.”

“Well, come over to my cabin, at least until you have settled down.” I said. I helped her up.

“Do you mind if I change first?”

“No, I’ll be right outside.” I said. I exited through the door and leaned against the railing on the deck. She came out in a cropped-necked shirt and white shorts. I took her to my cabin where we sat down at the card table. “Where are you going?” I asked.

“Honolulu. I’m on vacation.”

“What do you do?”

“I’m a paper pusher, but I’d love to have another adventure.

“Adventure, huh? You should work for me!”
