“Jenn, where will you be staying?”
“At the Hotel Honolulu.”
“Well, why don’t you stay with us?”
“In the Honeymoon Suite?!!”
“Sure. There’s bound to be enough room.”
“Is that all right with you?” Jenn asked my wife.
“Sure. You’re welcome with us.” My wife responded.
“You two are too kind.”
“Don’t mention it. It’s the least we can do for a friend.” I commented. We got a cab to take us to the hotel where I went to the front desk and received the key. Jenn stayed in the lobby as a bystander, then followed us to the elevator. We went to the suite and I carried my wife across the threshold. Inside, we unpacked and I went to see about the photo opportunities. As I was going back to my room, I saw someone leaving it. It looked like a man. Going into my room I asked my wife who it was.
“Who, dear?”
“The man I just saw leaving this room.”
“I don’t know.”
“You mean he was in here for about five minutes and you don’t know who it was?!”
“No, not exactly. He just said he was a friend of the family.”
“Oh. Where’s Jenn?”
“She went downstairs to order dinner.”
“What are we having?”
“A local delicacy, I think.”
“Great.” I said. We ate, went for a walk outside. While we were on that walk the phone rang.
“Yeah Noah.” I said into the phone.
“I coming down.” Noah stammered excitedly.
“Down where?”
“To Hawaii.”
“Why?”
“Because I just found where Tricia is.”
“Where.”
“No time to tell you now. I’ll see you in the morning.” He quickly hung up. We finished our walk and went to our room. In order to make it not look conspicuous, my wife and I slept in the same bed, while Jenn slept in the living room on a couch.
The next morning we got up, and went downstairs to eat breakfast. On our way down in the elevator we ran into Andy and Marie. “Hiya guys.” Andy said. “What brings you down here?”
“Our honeymoon.” I responded. “And you?”
“We’re just here on vacation.” Marie answered.
