“Well, Adam, it looks like we’ve found her location after all.” He stated, looking at Jenn. “And who’s this?”
“Don’t you remember me Noah?”
“Remember you?”
“From the island.”
“Oh, yeah, right.” He stammered. He turned to me and whispered, “What is she talking about?”
“I don’t know.” I replied.
“Well Noah, care to join us on our mountain hike?” Andy piped in.
“Yeah, I’ll go.”
“Good, give me a hug.” Marie said, arms open.
“You wish, don’t you. You’re always trying to get your hands on Adam or I!”
“Watch it buddy, unless you want a fat lip.” Andy said, seriously.
“Oh, Andy. What are you doing? Haven’t you used that muzzle I got you for your anniversary on her yet?”
“Nah, but the bull whip has come in handy! Wanna see how it works?”
“Sure looks like you know pretty well!”
“Let’s step outside.”
“You don’t wanna mess with me!”
“Let’s just step outside!”
“Guy’s, not in front of the ladies!” I said, trying to break it up.
“Just stay out of this, Adam!” They both said in unison.
“Andy, don’t even start with me!” Noah said.
“Oooo, am I supposed to be scared? Look at me! I’m shaking!”
“Oh, you’re scared of me, huh!” He lightly punched Andy. “It’s good to see you haven’t lost your sense of humor!”
The girls looked at each other and said, “Men!”
“You know,” I said, “I’m inclined to agree with you.” The girls and I turned and walked toward the eating area while Andy helped Noah with his baggage. Hurrying along, the girls and I finished our meal and headed out before they came down. We went to the lobby, got our stuff, and got in a taxi to the hills where the trade off was to occur.
Getting out I said, “Just look at that view! I wish I had a camera.”
“Just use your top shirt button!” Noah said.
“My what?”
“Your top shirt button. Press it and you’ll take a marvelous color photograph.” I pressed it and nothing happened. “Oops, I guess it’s not you who I installed the shirt camera in. Let me see.” He looked at everyone hard, then determined that it was Jenn. She pressed her button, and Noah went blind. “Extra high flash’ll get you every time.”
“I bet. I wonder how that got on her. I think I’ll have to give a call to Laura.”
“Oh Adam, quit being so suspecting.”
We got our gear off the ground and started our hike. Half way up the mountain Noah said, “Just look at this. I come to Hawaii to scope out the babes, and what am I doing? Climbing some stupid mountain. Where’s the action?”
“What more did you want?” Marie asked.
“Oh no you don’t Marie!” Andy said.
