“Here we are. It says that the DD will be robbing a bank on the other side of the moon. And that you got the info from this chapter!”

“So we’ll just be there to stop them. What’s my plan?”

“Julie and her husband are inside as tellers, Ryan is getting a loan, Noah and Kate are outside, and you and I are getting a mortgage, and Jenn is calling the police.”

“When does it say this will happen?”

“Next week Tuesday.”

“And what’s today?”

“Wednesday.”

“Well, I might as well enjoy what little time I have in the future.” We shut off the book, not thinking to look at what would happen in the next six days!

glockWhen it came time for dinner, I was ordered to change into those matching colored clothes. Boy what a shock. It was like one full suit of one color. We went to dinner and had the local delicacy, moon-rock pasta. Swell. The night time came, and we wandered the streets of the city. As we came to an alleyway, a man jumped out of a side street with some sort of gun in his hand. “Give me your card.”

“Why?”

“Because I’ll shoot you if you don’t.”

“I think you’d better do it, darling.” Carrie stated.

“Are you kidding!!” I said.

“I’d listen to the little lady.”

“Maybe your right.” I said, turning around. As I tuned around, I gave him a kick in the jaw, just like Noah had taught me all those years ago. He dropped the gun and fell on the ground. “Now, sir, what’s your name?”

“The name’s Tucker, Andrew Tucker.”

“Tucker, eh?”

“Adam, this is the person who gives you the info on the DD!” Carrie whispered to me.

“I’ll make you a deal Mr. Tucker.”

“And what’s that?”

“I won’t turn you in, if you give me any and all info you have on the Dastardly Duo.”

“The who??”

“Dastardly Duo. Don’t play dumb, I know that you know where they are.”

“I don’t at the moment, but I could check my connections.”

“Okay, then do it. Here’s my address. And don’t worry. If you don’t show up in three days, I’ll tell the cops.”

“The who??”

“Cops, police, you know, those who enforce the laws.”

“Oh! You mean Security officers! A lot they can do.”

“Well, you had better do it!”

“Okay It’s a deal.” He said, disappearing down the side street.

“Adam, you had better watch your language. We don’t have policemen anymore.” Carrie stated.

“Well, how was I to know that!” I responded.

“Well, now you do!” She said. We returned to the apartment and went to sleep.
