Noah and Jacie quickly boarded up the window, buried the computer, and moved our food and supplies out of the control room and built a temporary Headquarters. Then they set up an ambush of anyone trying to get to the old one. Andy and Hannah went to search the house. It appeared that no one was there, so they went right inside. I headed toward A’s HQ and listened. “There’s no bathrooms out here.” I heard a girl complain.

“Oh, quit your whining. We have to stay away from the house, or we’ll liable to get ambushed again. I don’t know if we can take them again. Karin?”

“Yes?”

“You know where their HQ is, don’t you?”

“Yes.”

“Take Tricia and David and see if you can find out what they’re planning. Meanwhile, I want you two to get some sleep. We’ll shift watch.”

“Yes sir.” I saw three people get up and walk toward me, and pass right by me. Three were left.

“Awe, Dan, can’t I go back to the house to go the bathroom?” One asked.

“No, if you have to go that bad, just walk over to the pond.”

“The pond!”

“You heard me.” I heard the person mumble something as she got up and walked toward the pond. It wasn’t far from where I was, so I decided this is who I would ambush. It was a fifty-fifty chance. It was either Tracy or Laura. I got in a behind a tree, and when the silhouette of the girl went by, I snuck up behind her, and covered her mouth.

“Surprise!” I whispered. She mumbled something in return, while she struggled. “I promise there will be a bathroom if you come with me.” I stated. She eased her struggling, and I blindfolded her. I went to the mind game’s entrance and went inside. It was night on the beach too. The moon reflected off the water, so I could see that I indeed had Tracy. I took the blindfold off, and uncovered her mouth.

“It’s you!” Tracy said, turning around to kiss me.

“Do you know where you are?”

“In your jail?”

“You’ve got it. I must tie you back up so I can leave.”

“Really, must you?”

“Yes, of all the people in this game you, Noah, Marie, and I are the only ones who know where this place is.”

“You mean. . .”

“Yes, you’re in the game. But unfortunately for you, the mind probe is turned off, so you can’t think your way out.”

“Why would I? I wanted to be on your team from the start.”

“Marie!” I shouted. Marie peered out of a building, rubbing her eyes.

“Yes?”

“I have another one for you!” I said.

“Swell. Adam, I really need some sleep.”
