Finding this, I went and talked with my friends. “Okay guys. The way I see it, our ladies are in one of these five places. Our best bet is to go to these places and look for them. I’ve got dibs on England. I’ll take Tracy and Kristin. You two decide where you want on our ride home.” We got in the chopper and headed home.

Once there, we went inside and warmed up. It was October and the leaves were beginning to turn. A cold front had passed over Oregon, and winter was soon approaching. The date was October 8, 1980. With all the changes in latitude over the past days, we were ill adjusted. I phoned the orphanage in Colorado and said that I had Kristin Smith, and that I would keep her with me until I could pay them a visit. They said that I could keep her, and that her papers would be in the mail.

Noah planned to take Nome, Alaska. Andy took Rio. Steve walked in and volunteered to take Tokyo, Japan. Moscow was still uncovered. “Who’s going to Moscow?” Noah asked.

Just then, Craig, and his wife Bette pulled up in a car and exited it. They came in the door and said, “Surprise!”

Everyone stared at them and said, “They will!”

“What?” Craig asked. We talked them into going to Moscow in search of the missing girls.

Kristin Smith Unfortunately, Kristin Smith didn’t have any of her own clothes, so we had to get her some. That meant, you guessed it, mall shopping. It was one in the afternoon when we went. I was forced to go because I didn’t want Tracy out of my sight.

We went in the Kay-MART section, again, but found nothing that we liked. We went to Hesses. She took us through all the women’s sections, sparing none. My bill was extremely large when she was done. We went home and discussed how we planned to operate in England. “Okay. The only way I see us finding out if sir and the girls indeed moved to England, is to go there. Here is our disguise:

We are a family of tourists from the US

I’m the father, Tracy’s the mother, and Kristin is the teenager

“What are you, some kind of P.I.?” Kristin asked.

“Why, as a matter a fact I am.”

“Cool! Do you have any of those Jim Bonds kind of cars with bazooka machine guns?”
