“We’ve been waiting a long time to try,” another girl said.
“One group has to wait outside the main building while another group goes with me to get Laura inside the building,” he said, getting volunteers for both. “All right. Now all we have to do is wait for Connie to return.”
“We had better get back soon. They’ll be looking for us soon,” another girl said.
“All right. If you girls need anything, come see me.” Noah said, “I’ll tell you when Connie comes.” They went back to the table to finish eating.
Meanwhile, Kirk was having a bit of luck in locating Laura. In fact, he was on the verge of pinpointing her location. He had also managed to locate a few of the other secretaries that were around. The group of them surrounded an airplane hangar. “All right. Does everyone know what they’re doing?” Kirk asked, scanning the faces of the four girls he had with him. They nodded. “Okay. Let’s go.” He grabbed one of them, who was wearing a bathing suit, and walked around to the front door. Opening it, he walked inside. The girl started to try and wiggle free. “This one tried to get away from me.”
“I knew this was a bad idea in the first place,” said one man.
“Was Noah around?”
“No. That’s why I didn’t let go. We were right in front of a police car and she tried to run over to it–” Kirk started.
“Good thing you stopped her. Adam and his cousin we can handle. The last thing we need is to have the police after us.”
“How’s that girl, Laura, doing?” Kirk asked while the blond kept struggling.
“She’s over there. She won’t eat anything, and she’s turning a little blue,” replied another man. Walking over to her, Kirk looked at an almost frozen girl. As he was watching, her head bobbed down, and she lost consciousness.
“She’s passed out!” Kirk stated.
“Or asleep. We’ll know in a few minutes.
“Why don’t you give her a blanket or something?”
“Steve won’t let us, you know that.”
“Still, I’d rather not be a murderer,” commented Kirk. The blond grabbed the gun out of Kirk’s pocket and pointed it at Krik.
“Don’t anyone move or he gets it,” said the blond. All the men put their hands in the air. “Okay, girls, come on in.” As she shouted, the rest of the girls came inside. After ordering one of the guys to take off his jacket to place on Laura and another for the blond with the gun, they took Kirk, like a hostage, with them and left. One of them drove off with Laura to the hospital while the rest stayed to hear what the guys would do.
“Hey, we finally got rid of all of them. I thought it’s never be over!” One said.
“Yeah. Steve’s going to be really proud of us. It even looked real!” Another added.
“C’mon. Let’s get back to the island. It’s too cold up here.” A third said. The group of men left through another door. The sound of a small aircraft could be heard, and then it faded into the distance. The girls looked at each other with relief, as they were finally free. They also knew that all the secretaries in Alaska were free as well.
