Prelude

Tracy Martin Much time has passed since we left our hero.  He had just finished solving the case of The Disappearing Damsel in Distress, and true to the future sequence in The Mystery of the Purloined Palette, he is sitting at the Smoking Gun, December 25, 1980, Christmas.  He is about to pop the big question, let’s join our play by play announcers Rob and Jerry. . .

"Thanks, announcer.  Well Rob, it’s been a pretty dull game."

"Yes, Jerry, it has.  The highlight of this game’s been when there was physical contact in the first quarter."

"Oh, you mean when they sat down holding hands?"

"Yeah, Jerry.  Otherwise, it doesn’t look to good.  Are you sure that the announcer said that today was the big day?"  Yes, today’s the big day.

"See, today’s the big day, Rob."

"Well, then, the offense had better get cracking."

"Do you realize that we are still in the Prelude?"

"No, does that mean this story hasn’t even begun yet?"

"Yep."

"Oh, when does it start."

"When I say, ‘Let’s use our super sleuthing camera to join in on the conversation being held between Tracy and Adam.’"
