“I kinda figured that by some stretch you would agree to let me continue, at least for a little while longer.”

“Well, Adam, I know you love me, so I guess that you could.”

“Good, and in the meantime, you and Kristin can work on the preparations for the wedding.”

“But I’d much rather be helping you.”

“That would be the most help.”

“Okay.” She said. She turned around to walk out.

Tracy Martin “Tracy, I do love you. You know that, don’t you?” I asked. She continued to walk out. I grabbed her around the waist. She turned around. We looked eye to eye, and then we kissed. We remained embracing each other for a few minutes, and then we left the den. The phone call came, and I answered it. She gave me her address, but before I could talk, she hung up.

The next night, I got dressed fancier than the last time, and went to her house. Walking up the sidewalk to what seemed the biggest house in town; she came out, put her arm through mine, and led me back to my car. I opened the passenger’s door for here, and then entered the other side. She was dressed in winter clothing combination. “At least you keep me guessing.” I said to the woman.

“Take us to the skating rink. You and I should be seen together in public. It will help with the effect.”

“But I’m not a good skater.”

“That doesn’t matter,” she commented. I drove up the skating rink, and I let her out. We walked over, putting on skates. We went out on the ice, and she made me look worse than I really was. She was fantastic.

While we were skating I asked, “What is your name?”

“Amanda.”

“Just Amanda?”

“Amanda is all you need to know.”

“Oh.”

“Getting cold?”

“A little bit.”

“Well, this should warm you up.” She said, turning to me, and skating backwards, she kissed me once again. I didn’t want to get involved with her, but it seemed that the more I was with her, the closer I came to falling “under her spell.” I took her home, and she told me how to dress, and when to pick her up. We went out again to a restaurant Saturday night.

Amanda came to church with me on Sunday, and on Monday, Amanda invited me to the movies. I picked her up in what she instructed I wear, and we went to the theater. While I was at the theater, the two alleged thieves came to my door, and led Tracy and Kristin off on a wild goose chase that would keep them “out of the way” for a few days so Amanda could get her hooks into me. Inside the theater we were watching a horror movie, and Amanda got closer to me. She pretended to be nervous, and I put my arm around her. We looked at each other, and she smiled. We exited together, and stood outside the theater, gazing at each other. “I know what you’re doing, and it won’t work.”

“What am I doing?” She asked getting closer to me. “Oh no, look over there.” I looked over and saw a gentleman dressed in black. “Kiss me!” She ordered.

“Why?”
