That Monday, Theresa was in Nanopolis. Tracy and I went to pick her up at the airport. She arrived safe and sound, and we went home. “Thank you for bringing me to back to America, Mr. Schofield.” Theresa said.

“You’re welcome, Theresa. You said you had some information for me?”

“Yes, but I must be sure that I’m safe.”

“I pretty sure it’s safe here.”

“Could this place be bugged?”

“No. At least, I don’t think so. Let me call up my inventor cousin, Noah, and see if he finds anything.” I went over and called Noah. He came over within fifteen minutes, and came over to us.

“Haven’t I seen you someplace before?”

“Could be. Where you ever in South America?” Theresa asked.

“Yes, just about a week ago.”

“Well, I work at a McDuncans down there.”

“Oh! So you’re the girl at the counter.”

“Excuse me?”

“And you said it didn’t work.” Noah said, punching me in the shoulder. “You sly dog.”

“Noah! She knows about the two thieves.”

“Yeah, sure.”

“I want you to check the den for bugs, then come and get us.”

“Right. You want me to make it so you two can be alone, and Tracy can’t listen in on…” At that minute, Tracy walked in.

“Hello, Noah.”

“Oh, hello Tracy.”

“Would you like something to eat before you get to work?” She asked Noah.

“What’ve you got?”

“Well we have…” She said, leading him off to the Kitchen.

“Why did she do that?” Theresa asked.

“She knows that if she can get Noah’s mind on food, he’ll get the job done faster.”

“Wow.” Theresa said, as the phone rang. Karin went over and picked up and said it was for me.

“Hello?” I asked.

“Hello, Adam?”

“Yes?”

“Adam, this is Marie. We’re trying to get together a group to perform a ‘The Miserable’ medley. Do you think you and Tracy could sing in it?”

“Who else is in it?”

“Well, there’s me, Andy, Duane Miser, Kari Bastidas, Chet, Jessica Watson, Melissa Dubon, the Corls, and a lot of teens that we must weed out.”

“Let me think about that, and get back to you.”
